ActiveXperts Network Monitor maximizes network availability by monitoring all aspects of your servers, workstations, switches, routers, printers and any other devices. It can also detect temperature, humidity and other environmental aspects in your server rooms.
When a failure is detected, ActiveXperts will alert (e.g. e-mail, SMS, pager) and will automatically take the preconfigured corrective action (e.g. rebooting a server, restarte a service or run a script).
The following checks are provided by ActiveXperts Network Monitor:
Internet Protocols
DNS check - Domain Name Server check. Checks for variuos DNS records such as A records, CNAME recprds, MX records and more.
FTP check - File Transfer Protocol check to check for directories, files and file content on the FTP server.
HTTP(s) check - Check availability of a (secure) web site, and check web site content.
ICMP Ping check - Check a remote host for availability.
IMAP MailServer check - Check an IMAP mail server for availability.
LDAP check - Check a directory service by executing an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) query.
NNTP check - Check NNTP (Network News Transport Protocol) news servers.
NTP check - check NTP (Network Time Protocol) time servers.
POP3 check - Check POP3 mail servers.
RADIUS check - Check RADIUS authentication servers.
SMTP check - Check SMTP mail servers.
SMTP/POP3 Roundtrip check - Check a mail server by sending out over SMTP and receive on a POP3 mailbox, i.e. a so called SMTP/POP3 Round-trip.
SNMP GET check - Query an SMP compliant device and analyze the result.
SNMP Traps check - Receive SNMP traps and analyze the messages.
TCP check - Check a device or computer by connecting to it, send a command and analyze the response.
TFTP check - Trivial File Transfer Protocol check to check for files and file content on the TFTP host.

Active Directory check - Monitor an Active Directory domain controller by monitoring its services, processes and Performance Counters.
Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware check - Check anti-virus and anti-spam software on servers and workstations.
CPU Usage check - Check CPU usage on servers and workstations.
Directory check - Check directory existence, directory changes, directory sizes.
Disk Drives check - Check (removable) disk drives.
Disk Space check - Check allowed used space and/or required free space.
Event Log check - Check for a specific event in a specific event log.
File check - Check file existence, file size, file content.
Memory Usage check - Monitor the total available physical memory usage, the committed memory or the pages per second.

MS ISA Server check - Monitor MS ISA Server services and the most important MS ISA Server performance counters
MSMQ check - Check an MSMQ (Microsoft Message Queue) for its queue length or for its total size (MB).
MS SharePoint check - Monitor MS SharePoint Server services and the most important MS SharePoint Server performance counters.
MS SQL Server check - Monitor an Micorosoft SQL Server by monitoring its services, processes, performance counters and preforming a database qyery.
MS Terminal Server check - Check number of active/inactive RDP Terminal Server sessions.
Printer check - Check status of your printers.
PowerShell check - Monitor Windows Servers and Workstations using custom PowerShell scripts in ActiveXperts Network Monitor
Process check - Check status of a process and memory usage of a process
Remote Command check - Monitor Windows Servers and Workstations using custom Remote Command batch jobs in ActiveXperts Network Monitor
Scheduled Task check - Check if a scheduled task has completed successfully or not.
